SPPC announced the Shortlisted Bidders for the 1100 MW Al Henakiyah Solar PV and the 400 MW Tabarjal Solar PV. The projects will attract total investments exceeding 4 Billion Saudi Riyals (1.06 Billion USD) and will contribute to supplying power to approximately 265,000 residenal units annually.
The Saudi tender has been issued by Government-owned entity, Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC). The Saudi tender's RFQ encompasses four projects, namely, Al Sadawi plant located in the eastern part, boasting 2 GW; Al Masa'a project in northern Hail province with 1 GW capacity.
The projects are as follows: 1500 MWac Dawadmi Wind IPP, to be located in Riyadh region. 1400 MWac Najran Solar PV IPP, to be located in Najran region. 600 MWac Samtah Solar PV IPP, to be located in Jazan region. 600 MWac Darb Solar PV IPP, to be located in Jazan region. 400 MWac Sufun Solar PV IPP, to be located in Hail region.
1500 MWac Dawadmi Wind IPP, to be located in Riyadh region. 1400 MWac Najran Solar PV IPP, to be located in Najran region. 600 MWac Samtah Solar PV IPP, to be located in Jazan region. 600 MWac Darb Solar PV IPP, to be located in Jazan region. 400 MWac Sufun Solar PV IPP, to be located in Hail region.
The tendered PV plants include the 2 GW (AC) Al Sadawi plant located in the country's east and the 1 GW (AC) Al Masa'a project located in northern Hail province. It also includes the 400 MW (AC) Al Henakiyah 2 plant located in western Madinah province and the 300 MW (AC) Rabigh 2 array located in western Makkah province.
