The average solar battery is around 10 kilowatt-hours (kWh). To save the most money possible, you'll need two to three batteries to cover your energy usage when your solar panels aren't producing. You'll usually only need one solar battery to keep the power on when the grid is down. You'll need far more storage capacity to go off-grid altogether.
If you use 8 kilowatt hours (kWh) per day, then you'll need a battery with a capacity of at least 8 kilowatts (kW) to provide all of your energy needs during the day.
