Free QuoteFig. 1 illustrates the proposed multi-energy system model involves three forms of energy (electricity, heat, and hydrogen) and the interactions between them. The assumptions for the composition of the system are premised on a high renewable energy penetration rate in the future, with 2050 as the planning target year in this study.
This study proposes a high-resolution planning model of multi-energy systems integrating the complete hydrogen energy chain to comprehensively analyze the role of hydrogen energy and its synergistic interaction with multiple energy flows in future multi-energy systems. The framework of the model is described in detail in Section 3.1.
Multi-energy thermo-chemical complementary technology refers to the selection of a suitable endothermic chemical reaction to convert thermal energy into fuel chemical energy, improve energy conversion efficiency, and achieve renewable energy storage and transport. The technology is currently in the basic research stage.
Secondly, a high-resolution collaborative planning model of the multi-energy systems integrating the complete hydrogen energy chain is proposed, considering the renewable energy spatiotemporal distribution characteristics and annual hourly operation.
